1.In compliance of the new Code of Canon law (Canon 532) it is obligatory for Parishes to have a Finance committee to advise the Parish Priest.
2.The Committee’s responsibility is to lessen the burden of the Parish Priest in administrating Parish finances, in planning for future capital works, in raising the necessary finances and establishing a frame work for greater shared responsibility within Parish life.
3.The Parish Finance Committee is to understand its role in the light of the mission of the total Church and the mission of the Parish, to build up the life of the Christian community and to promote its mission of evangelization
4.The Committee meets every second month to review and plan parish finance.
